Abstract:
Ethiopia has designed and implemented several development programs to improve its economy such as Agriculture Development Led Industrialization-ADLI, Sustainable Development and Poverty Reduction Program (SDPRP), Accelerated and Sustained Development to end Poverty (PASDEP), Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP) to fight and eradicate poverty through achieving broad-based and pro-poor growth. Among these development programs the country has been implementing a five-year development program (2010/11-2014/15) known as the Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP) which will proceed to its second phase starting 2015/16.
